Job summary

MasTec Utility Services is hiring an OHE Foreman to lead the crew in placing overhead electrical cables, ensuring safety, tracking hours, and coordinating with other departments. You will supervise the Line team and drive quality and on-time completion of tasks across field projects.

The role requires CDL, extensive field experience, and strong leadership. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds and working outdoors in all weather. Benefits and competitive compensation provided.

Qualifications

High school diploma, or equivalent.
6 years of experience.
2 years of supervisory experience.
Class A CDL required.
Preferred: 8+ years experience including supervision and training.

Responsibilities

Obtain materials and ensure permits and licenses are in place.
Oversee project work and ensure quality and timeliness.
Comply with safety standards per MasTec or customer requirements.
Facilitate daily toolbox talks and weekly safety inspections.
Disseminate safety briefings and ensure understanding.
Perform aerial tasks like cable installs, pole transfers, and strand building when qualified.
Place overhead electrical cables and connect wires to terminals.
Coordinate and supervise daily crew tasks for digging and placing product.
Perform general construction tasks and manage open excavations as needed.
Climb utility poles or use aerial lifts to place cables per design.
Operate equipment to support crews at job sites.
Train new hires and trainees.
