Reliable Door and Dock, a Vortex Doors Company, seeks a skilled technician to install, service, and repair overhead doors and docks at our Appleton, WI location. You will calibrate balance, verify clearances, and guide customers through proper operation and maintenance.

This role requires 1+ year of hands-on experience, proficiency with hand and power tools, and a valid driver’s license. You will work independently or in a team to deliver high-quality service daily.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience working on commercial/industrial overhead doors and docks.
• Strong command of hand and power tools.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
• Ability to lift and move 50–100 lbs.
• Clear, professional communication with customers and coworkers.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair overhead doors, docks, dock levelers, springs, cables, and related hardware.
• Set up and maintain commercial and industrial doors, equipment, and accessories.
• Verify precision—check balance, clearances, alignment, and overall quality.
• Deliver excellent customer service; answer questions clearly and professionally.
