Job summary

Utility Lines Construction Services is seeking an experienced Overhead Distribution A Lineperson in Gastonia, NC. The role involves installing and maintaining overhead distribution and transmission systems, including poles, cables, transformers, and switchgear.

The position requires 4+ years of electrical linework experience, ability to work with energized high voltage systems, and readiness to travel for storm emergencies. CDL is preferred; pre-employment screening may apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of electrical linework experience.
• Ability to travel for emergency storm work as needed.
• Experience with energized high voltage systems is required.
• Ability to climb structures and use related equipment.
• Must identify, operate and service all required tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set poles and anchors; string overhead wire.
• Install transformers, arrestors, cutouts, crossarms, insulators, switches, and switchgear.
• Perform construction, maintenance, or repair on energized and de-energized overhead lines with safety rules.
• Troubleshoot primary and secondary system issues.
• Replace fuses and clear faulted circuits.
• Test and inspect tools and equipment daily for safety.
