Job summary

Primoris T&D Services, LLC in Charlotte, North Carolina is seeking an experienced Overhead Distribution Foreman to supervise field crews performing overhead line construction, maintenance, and repair to meet safety and quality standards.

The role requires a strong leader with at least 5 years as an Overhead Distribution Journeyman Lineman and 2+ years in a foreman role, a valid Class A CDL, OSHA/NESC knowledge, and the ability to read blueprints while working outdoors in all weather.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Lineman apprenticeship preferred.
• Minimum 5 years as an Overhead Distribution Journeyman Lineman.
• At least 2 years in a Foreman or supervisory role.
• Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record.
• OSHA/NESC knowledge and safety-regulated work experience.
• Ability to read blueprints/schematics/technical specs.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Willing to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays; OSHA 10/30 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, direct, and coordinate field crews for overhead distribution work.
• Plan daily activities, schedule personnel, equipment, and materials.
• Interpret blueprints and work orders to ensure compliant execution.
• Conduct daily safety briefings and job hazard analyses.
• Train and mentor crew members on procedures and safety practices.
• Operate and maintain bucket trucks, digger derricks, and heavy machinery.
• Perform hands-on work including climbing poles and installing equipment.
• Inspect progress and quality; maintain records of work and crew hours.
• Communicate with project managers, clients, and stakeholders; respond to outages.
