Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of lineworker apprenticeship or journeyman training.
• Experience performing overhead distribution work at journeyman level.
• Knowledge of electrical theory and safe work practices.
• Ability to work at heights outdoors and read blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Construct, maintain, and repair overhead distribution lines, poles, conductors, transformers, and related equipment.
• Perform energized and de-energized work within safety procedures.
• Perform switching, grounding, and tagging as authorized.
• Troubleshoot overhead distribution systems and operate bucket trucks and other equipment.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and work orders; provide guidance to apprentices.
• Maintain records of work performed and materials used; support outages and storm restoration.
