Job summary

Primoris T&D Services, LLC seeks an experienced Journeyman Lineman for overhead distribution work in Raleigh, NC. You will construct, maintain, and repair overhead lines, and perform energized and de-energized work with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

You will read blueprints, operate bucket trucks and line tools, and guide apprentices while ensuring compliance with safety standards. This role supports outages and storm restoration with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of a recognized lineworker apprenticeship or equivalent journeyman-level training and experience.
• Experience performing overhead electrical distribution work at the journeyman level.
• Knowledge of electrical theory, distribution systems, and safe work practices.
• Proficiency with line construction tools and equipment.
• Ability to work at heights and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver’s license; Class A CDL as required for assigned duties.
• Ability to perform the essential physical functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Construct, maintain, and repair overhead distribution lines, poles, conductors, transformers, and related equipment.
• Perform energized and de-energized work within established qualifications and safety procedures.
• Perform switching, grounding, and tagging procedures as authorized.
• Troubleshoot overhead distribution systems.
• Operate bucket trucks, digger derricks, and hand and power tools as qualified.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders.
• Follow company safety standards and applicable requirements.
• Provide guidance to apprentices and less experienced crew members.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Support emergency outages and storm restoration, including overtime and adverse weather conditions, as needed.
