Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking an Overhead Distribution Journeyman Lineperson to support construction and maintenance of overhead lines. The role involves operating from aerial devices, installing and repairing distribution lines, and ensuring safety on site.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of trade experience required.
• DOT medical card is required within 90 days of employment.
• Valid Driver's License is required.
• Commercial driver's license preferred within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Works from aerial device installing and repairing overhead distribution lines and equipment.
• Excavates to assist in the installation of structures or cables as required by contract specification.
• Makes primary connections and terminations.
• Assists with assembling material on the ground to be installed by lineperson and assists with the installation.
• Makes secondary connections at transformers.
• Assists with pulling in new wire and sagging.
• Assists with replacing and setting new poles.
• Works from the ground and clears all work areas to maintain safe job site conditions.
• Will have contact with public and private property owners to communicate the work to be performed.
• Operates various tools for the work and maintains hearing protection.
• All other duties as required by Supervisors.
