Job summary

Midwest Overhead Crane is seeking a Mechanical Field Technician to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain overhead cranes and lifting equipment at customer sites. You will work independently and with technicians and engineers to ensure safe, reliable operation.

The role requires a high school diploma, 3+ years in industrial maintenance or crane service, ability to read blueprints, and strong problem-solving. Travel and overtime may be required; OSHA safety standards apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, crane service, or related field (equivalent military experience considered).
• Experience troubleshooting/mechanical or electrical equipment; welding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain overhead cranes and related lifting equipment at customer facilities.
• Diagnose mechanical problems in heavy industrial facilities.
• Collaborate with technicians and project engineers on installations, upgrades, and modifications.
• Perform safety inspections per OSHA guidelines and complete required paperwork.
