Job summary

Konecranes in the United States is seeking an Industrial Technician to join our overhead crane service team. You will troubleshoot 480 3‑phase motors, perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs at customer locations, and collaborate with facility directors to meet service needs nationwide.

Education: High School Diploma required; an Associate degree in Industrial Electrical/Mechanical Technology or related field preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate degree or technical training preferred.
• Minimum one year of electrical troubleshooting and mechanical repair experience.
• Candidate may travel and work off the ground; on-call rotation and safety training may be required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair electric overhead traveling cranes and hoists at customer locations.
• Provide on-call service as part of a rotation, including after-hours support.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, structural, and electronic issues on-site.
• Document findings and recommend corrective actions, including safety notifications to customers.
• Consult with customers on repair and safety issues, offering recommendations for material handling improvements.
• Produce service reports and ensure proper documentation and signatures.
