Zusammenfassung

JGM is hiring an experienced Material Handler / Crane Operator in Coatesville, PA to move beams and fabricated pieces with 20-ton and 10-ton cranes. You will work in a heavy industrial shop with processing equipment, fit-up and welding stations, and shipping.

This hands-on role emphasizes safety, reliability, and teamwork. Ideal candidates have crane and rigging experience in steel fabrication or heavy manufacturing, read cut lists, and are willing to complete OSHA 10 training if not already

Qualifikationen

• 2+ years of overhead crane and material handling experience.
• Experience in a structural steel, fabrication, or heavy manufacturing shop.
• Hands-on rigging experience and ability to inspect rigging for heavy loads.
• Experience flipping/positioning beams, plate, or fabricated pieces preferred.
• Knowledge of crane hand signals and reading tags/ciece lists.
• OSHA 10 training on hire; current OSHA 10 is a plus.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Aufgaben

• Operate overhead cranes (up to 20-ton) to move and stage steel in the shop.
• Inspect and rig loads using chains, slings, spreader bars, and clamps.
• Flip, roll, and position beams and fabricated pieces for fitters and welders.
• Load/unload processing equipment and stage material for production.
• Read tags, piece marks, and cut lists to ensure correct pieces reach the right station.
• Move finished pieces to shipping; assist forklift and yard moves as needed.
• Perform daily crane and rigging inspections and report concerns.
• Follow standard crane hand signals and keep suspended loads clear.
