Klöckner & Co SE in New Orleans, LA seeks an Overhead Crane Operator-Loader for the 2nd shift (4:00 p.m. – 12:30 a.m.). You will handle materials for shipping and receiving and report to the Operations Manager.

Responsibilities include safely operating overhead cranes and forklifts, loading and unloading stock, inspecting for accuracy, and following DOT weight regulations. A valid overhead crane certification and a high school diploma or GED are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating overhead cranes in industrial or distribution environments.
• Valid certification to operate overhead cranes is required.
• High School diploma or GED; or 1-3 months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Understanding of DOT regulations regarding load weight
• Ability to follow safety protocols and operational procedures
• Reliable with a strong work ethic
• Willingness to learn new skills and train others
• Ability to pass a physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobility
• Demonstrated reliable work history
• Must be detail-oriented with a strong focus on precision and quality in all tasks

Job Summary

The Crane Operator/Loader is responsible for handling materials as related to the shipping and receiving of inventory and customer orders. This position reports directly to the Operations Manager.

• 2nd Shift Hours: 4:00 p.m. – 12:30 a.m., with availability to work overtime as needed.
