Job summary

Klöckner & Co SE is seeking a Crane Operator/Loader to manage materials for shipping and receiving inventory and customer orders. You will report to the Operations Manager and work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Responsibilities include safely operating overhead cranes and forklifts, understanding product specs, loading/unloading shipments, and completing all required paperwork. Candidates must meet regulatory and safety standards and demonstrate reliability.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of overhead crane experience in industrial or distribution settings.
• Valid overhead crane certification is required.
• Understanding of DOT regulations regarding load weight.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and operational procedures.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to learn and train others.
• Ability to pass a physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobility.
• Proven reliable work history.

Responsibilities

• Unload inbound stock shipments and load outbound shipments; complete necessary paperwork.

Job description

The Crane Operator/Loader is responsible for handling materials as related to the shipping and receiving of inventory and customer orders. This position reports directly to the Operations Manager.

Summary of Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities

• Crane and Forklift Operation: Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts
• Product Knowledge: Understand the products handled, including color coding and customer specifications; read and interpret all measuring devices
• Shipping and Receiving: Unload and receive inbound stock shipments and load outbound shipments, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed
• Loading Procedures: Safely load trucks, including proper chaining and tarping of trailers
• Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse operations

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience operating overhead cranes in an industrial or distribution environment
• Certification: Valid certification to operate overhead cranes is required
• Education: High School diploma or GED; or 1-3 months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Regulations Knowledge: Understanding of DOT regulations regarding load weight
• Safety and Procedures: Ability to follow safety protocols and operational procedures
• Dependability: Reliable with a strong work ethic
• Learning and Training: Willingness to learn new skills and train others
• Physical Examination: Ability to pass a physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobility
