Klöckner & Co SE is seeking an Overhead Crane Operator-Loader for the 2nd shift to handle materials in shipping and receiving. The role reports to the Operations Manager and offers a 2nd shift from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with overtime as needed.

Responsibilities include operating overhead cranes and forklifts safely, understanding product specs, unloading inbound stock, loading outbound shipments, and ensuring paperwork is complete. A valid crane certification and DOT knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of overhead crane experience in industrial/distribution settings.
• Valid certification to operate overhead cranes is required.
• High School diploma or equivalent; 1–3 months related training acceptable.
• Knowledge of DOT load weight regulations is mandatory.
• Follow safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Willing to learn and train others as needed.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Crane Operator/Loader is responsible for handling materials as related to the shipping and receiving of inventory and customer orders. This position reports directly to the Operations Manager.

2nd Shift Hours: 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m., with availability to work overtime as needed.

Job Responsibilities

• Crane and Forklift Operation: Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts
• Product Knowledge: Understand the products handled, including color coding and customer specifications; read and interpret all measuring devices
• Shipping and Receiving: Unload and receive inbound stock shipments and load outbound shipments, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed
• Loading Procedures: Safely load trucks, including proper chaining and tarping of trailers
• Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse operations

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience operating overhead cranes in an industrial or distribution environment
• Certification: Valid certification to operate overhead cranes is required
• Education: High School diploma or GED; or 1-3 months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Regulations Knowledge: Understanding of DOT regulations regarding load weight
• Safety and Procedures: Ability to follow safety protocols and operational procedures
• Dependability: Reliable with a strong work ethic
