Job summary

Kloeckner Metals - Americas is seeking a Crane Operator/Loader for 2nd shift (3:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m.) to handle materials for shipping and receiving inventory and customer orders. Reports to the Operations Manager.

You will operate overhead cranes and forklifts, verify product specs, and complete inbound/outbound paperwork; load trucks securely with proper chaining and tarping to ensure safe delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating overhead cranes in an industrial or distribution environment.
• Valid certification to operate overhead cranes is required.
• High School diploma or GED; or 1-3 months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Understanding of DOT regulations regarding load weight.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and operational procedures.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to learn new skills and train others.
• Ability to pass a physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobility.
• Demonstrated reliable work history.
• Must be detail-oriented with a strong focus on precision and quality in all tasks.

Job Summary

The Crane Operator/Loader is responsible for handling materials as related to the shipping and receiving of inventory and customer orders. This position reports directly to the Operations Manager. 2nd Shift Hours: 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m., with availability to work overtime as needed.

Job Responsibilities

• Crane and Forklift Operation: Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts
• Product Knowledge: Understand the products handled, including color coding and customer specifications; read and interpret all measuring devices
• Shipping and Receiving: Unload and receive inbound stock shipments and load outbound shipments, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed
• Loading Procedures: Safely load trucks, including proper chaining and tarping of trailers
• Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse operations
