Kloeckner in Charlotte, NC is seeking an experienced Overhead Crane Operator/Loader for 1st shift (5:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.). You will safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts to load and unload shipments, and verify paperwork for accuracy.

This role requires a valid crane certification, a high school diploma or GED, and at least 2 years of industrial experience. DOT knowledge and a detail-oriented, reliable work style are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating overhead cranes in industrial or distribution environments.
• Valid overhead crane operation certification required.
• High School diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related training/experience; or equivalent.
• Knowledge of DOT load-weight regulations and safety procedures.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and operational procedures.
• Willingness to learn new skills and train others.
• Ability to pass a physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobility.
• Demonstrated reliable work history and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Crane and forklift operation: Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts.

Job Summary

The Crane Operator/Loader is responsible for handling materials as related to the shipping and receiving of inventory and customer orders. This position reports directly to the Operations Manager.

• 1st Shift Hours: 5:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., with availability to work overtime as needed.

Job Responsibilities

• Crane and Forklift Operation: Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts
• Product Knowledge: Understand the products handled, including color coding and customer specifications; read and interpret all measuring devices
• Shipping and Receiving: Unload and receive inbound stock shipments and load outbound shipments, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed
