Job summary

Millennium Galvanizing in Convent, LA is seeking a Kettle Crane Operator I to safely operate the Demag 5/10 ton overhead bridge crane through the galvanizing process, ensuring high quality finished products.

You will monitor tanks, control crane movements, inspect hooks and chains, and help train others while maintaining a strong safety record and reliable attendance.

This position requires bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and willingness to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience operating overhead cranes in a galvanizing facility or equivalent preferred.
• Strong safety record and reliable attendance are required.
• Willingness to train others in crane operation and to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate overhead bridge crane to lift/move heavy steel and products during galvanizing.
• Inspect hooks, chains and crane setup; report defects to supervisor.
• Monitor tanks and zinc baths to ensure quality; apply finishing touches for neatness.
