Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. is seeking a Crane Operator in Salina, KS to operate the 15-ton overhead bridge crane in the galvanizing department. You will work the 2nd shift (2:30pm–11:00pm) and ensure high-quality finished product while maintaining safety and efficiency.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to work in extreme temperatures, and experience with overhead cranes. Starting pay is $23/hour plus a $1/hour shift differential, with comprehensive benefits available.

• Must be able to perform basic math (add/sub/mul/div).

Responsibilities

• Operate the galvanizing department’s 15-ton overhead bridge crane safely.
• Monitor steel products in tanks and zinc baths to ensure high-quality end results.
• Inspect hooks, chains and crane setup thickness with gauges.
• Operate drossing equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintain a safe and productive working environment.
• Operate the radio-controlled crane while moving through the galvanizing process.
