Qualifications

• Experience with overhead systems for high-speed rail.
• Strong knowledge of interfaces in complex railway systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to plan systems to meet future demand and tech trends.
• Experience managing third parties to meet service levels.
• Familiarity with relevant legislation and standards.
• Incorporated Engineer working toward Chartered status.
• Experience in engineering management and risk assessment.
• Relevant professional qualifications in rail/engineering.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project teams to deliver high-speed rail systems per client requirements.
• Translate business needs into performance specs for rail systems.
• Advise on rail systems development to keep ahead of safety and tech standards.
• Provide technical guidance for system integration and interfaces.
• Support the project team with expert advisory on technical issues.
• Define technical content and standards for overhead systems.
• Update design criteria for future contracts.
• Review safety, performance, and compatibility of designs.
• Participate in audits against requirements and contracts.
• Assist in preparing RFPs and evaluating contractor proposals.
• Monitor compliance with specifications and contract terms.
