Egis is seeking a specialist to support high-speed rail projects from Sacramento, CA. You will apply expertise in Overhead Contact Systems, perform performance/specification work, and guide interfaces between rail subsystems within a collaborative team.

• Strong background in Overhead Contact System, high-speed operation.
• Railway system knowledge of interfaces between elements of high-speed rail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
• Plan and deliver systems to understand future demand and emerging tech.
• Manage third parties to meet service levels.
• Knowledge of legislation, industry and company standards.
• Incorporated Engineer working towards Chartered status.
• Engineering management experience with risk assessment.
• Relevant professional qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of an integrated project team to deliver a high-speed rail system.
• Interpret business requirements and develop performance requirements for rail systems.
• Provide guidance on rail systems development to stay at industry forefront.
• Offer specialist technical guidance on system integration and interfaces.
• Provide technical support to project team as needed.
• Establish technical content for Overhead Contact System requirements.
• Update design criteria for future contracts.
• Review safety, performance, and compatibility of designs.
• Participate in or lead audits as required.
• Contribute to RFP development and contractor evaluations.
• Monitor contractual commitments to ensure compliance.
