Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines is seeking Line Haul Extraboard Drivers for over-the-road freight movements between Estes Service Centers. Team members enjoy competitive pay and benefits and must operate tractors in all terrains while complying with FMCSA rules. Average time away from home is about 5 days; lodging, uniforms, and cell phone reimbursements are provided where applicable.

The role emphasizes safety, compliance, and customer service, with opportunities for advancement within the Estes network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• HazMat, Tanker and Doubles endorsements required.
• Must meet FMCSA medical and road test requirements.
• Must reside within 75 miles of the domicile center.
• Must pass FMCSA drug screening and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Operate all types of equipment to perform safety functions.
• Safely drive tractor/trailer in compliance with FMCSA rules.
• Maintain required records for local, state and federal regulations.
• Ensure safe transportation of hazardous materials.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of tractor/trailer.
• Report maintenance issues to supervision promptly.
• Verify unit numbers against paperwork and report discrepancies.
• Possibly use in-cab technology and various schedules as needed.
• Provide professional service and maintain regular attendance.
