Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines is seeking an experienced Line Haul Extraboard Driver to operate all tractor-trailer equipment across service centers. This role involves delivering freight safely while adhering to FMCSA regulations and company policies.

Expect to be away from home for several days with 5-day average cycles, during which you will maintain darling logs, handle loading/unloading when needed, and provide professional service to customers along routes within the Estes network.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent background.
• 21 years of age per FMCSA regulations; 1 year driving experience.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Must be registered with the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
• Within 75 miles of domiciled Service Center/work assignment.
• HazMat, Tanker and Doubles endorsements required (LCV may apply).
• Able to drive tractor-trailer per FMCSA requirements.
• Stable employment history preferred.
• Must pass FMCSA medical exam and road test.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Able to lift approximately 70 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate all equipment safely to perform duties in accordance with FMCSA and company rules.
• Drive tractor-trailer to transport freight and comply with run times and safety regulations.
• Maintain compliance records and driver logs as required.
• Adhere to all safety and regulatory requirements for hazardous materials transport.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report maintenance needs.
• Interact professionally with customers and the public.
• Regular attendance and adaptability to schedule changes.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
