Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Dispatch experience required; capable of coordinating shipments and schedules.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; able to work with multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Execute shipment plans within the scope of branch operations and United Van Lines.
• Establish and maintain control of all drivers operating in designated area.
• Maintain timely status of all orders in the system.
• Ensure driver paperwork is accurate and complete daily.
• Plan next day’s routes and pre-calls (24-hour notice).
• Assign vehicles and equipment to personnel and monitor usage.
• Review crew time cards and expenses for accuracy.
• Investigate causes of shipment damages and take corrective action.
• Interface with Accounting to resolve paperwork and rating issues.
• Maintain warehouse records and enforce company policies.
