Oven Operator (Food Manufacturing Plant)

Location: Aurora, CO

Shift: 2nd Shift 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM

Wage: $17.60 per hour

Opportunity Overview

Join Dessert Holdings as an Oven Operator to run quality products following company procedures. Ensure safe, efficient production that meets SQF, HACCP, and GMP standards.

What You’ll Do Every Day

• Contribute to team effort and process improvement.
• Follow GMP, safety instructions, and work orders.
• Notify supervisors of quality or production issues.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping during shifts.
• Understand and apply the company’s food allergen program.
• Start up ovens and adjust flames, injector heads, and speed to achieve quality.
• Perform changeovers with minimal downtime.
• Recognize oven malfunctions and report promptly.
• Train new oven operators.
• Maintain waste below 5 %.
• Use SPC to input data and identify quality issues.
• Communicate with mixers, leads, and quality personnel.
• Troubleshoot and report machine or product failures.
• Follow Steven Charles quality standards, policies, and procedures.
• Encourage team participation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of food‑manufacturing experience.
• High‑school diploma, GED, or equivalent education/experience.
• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Flexibility to work varying hours and shifts.
