Job summary

FM Pizza in Wimberley, TX, is seeking an Oven-back to support our New York–style operation. You will clean dishes, tend the oven during dinner, rotate pizzas, and help close the restaurant with the closing pizza maker and cashier.

This part-time role starts at $14 per hour plus tips (roughly $21/hour total), with a $1 raise after 90 days and an additional tip pool of about $7/hour.

Qualifications

• Reliable and punctual for evening shifts.
• Able to stand for up to 8 hours on Fridays and Saturdays.
• Attention to detail to bake pizzas properly.
• Pizza or bakery experience is a plus; training provided.

About Us

FM Pizza is a New York–style pizza shop serving the Wimberley community. Our Oven-back is a hybrid role that handles dishwashing and tends the oven during diner service hours. The Oven-back is an integral role that ensures cook on the pizzas is well timed. As we are primarily a carry out operation we do not generate as many dishes as full service restaurants.

Position Overview

Oven-backs work 4pm to close, typically they knock out a first round of dishes, tend the oven during the dinner rush, then help break down the restaurant at the end of the night along with the closing pizza maker and closing cashier. Tending the oven means rotating pizzas, pulling out pizzas when they are finished, and assisting cashiers with reheating slices.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all dishes are cleaned at end of shift
• Rotates pizzas are rotated in oven and are cooked to spec, both top and bottom
• Keep dish and oven area clean and organized
• Assists cashiers with reheating slices, packing up food to go and sliced pizzas that come out of the oven

Requirements

• Reliable and punctual
• Able to stand for shift hours, up to 8 hours on Friday and Saturday, in a hot environment.
• Attention to detail with baking a well done, but not burnt pizza
• Pizza or bakery experience is a plus, but training is provided

Schedule & Pay

• Shifts start at 4pm and runs till ~9pm on weekdays and ~11pm on Friday and Saturday
• Part-time position
• Starts at 14$/ hour plus tips (21/hr), automatic dollar raise after 90 days.
• We tip share between staff which typically equates to ~ 7$ additionally an hour.
