Job summary

Westaff in Vermont is seeking a General Assembler to support production of stainless‑steel convection ovens. The role involves assembling components, using hand and power tools, and coordinating with multiple departments to ensure high‑quality finished products.

You will read oven orders, select parts, fasten with tools, install doors and racks, and confirm build requirements. The position offers a Monday‑Thursday schedule with some overtime and pay of $21.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Past manufacturing experience is required.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, sit, and stand repeatedly throughout the shift.
• Basic shop measurement knowledge.
• Comfortable using hand/power tools and measuring instruments.
• Strong commitment to a clean, organized and safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Assembles oven components using pre-assembled frames
• Selects and prepares required parts for each order
• Fastens parts using pneumatic and manual tools, jigs, and fixtures
• Installs doors, racks, trim accessories, and other final finishes
• Installs assembled components into ovens
• Reads and interprets oven orders to determine correct parts and build requirements
