ABOUT THE JOB

The OutSystems Low-Code Solution Engineer is primarily responsible for creating and maintaining Low-Code (OutSystems) application standards and best practices while governing all related work within the platform. This role will be part of the Low-Code Center of Excellence (CoE) and will drive the platform's framework in support of the enterprise vision.

The OutSystems Low-Code Solution Engineer will play a critical role in developing and implementing governance policies, standards, procedures, and best practices through collaboration with cross-functional teams. We expect you to have a strong background in project management, web design, and data integrations, along with excellent analytical and communication skills. Success criteria include leveraging critical thinking, application expertise, and anticipation of business needs from stakeholders, resulting in robust applications that enhance usability, benefits, and client interactions.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Responsible for governance and management of the Low-Code application platform.
• Create and maintain Low-Code application standards and best practices.
• Act as a liaison between Low-Code developers and related technology teams to document and detail requirements using best practices.
• Manage all Low-Code IT risks and controls related to the platform and connections.
• Maintain ongoing training plans and corporate communications related to the platform.
• Establish rules and oversight for federated citizen developers.
• Regularly engage with Low-Code users to influence and gather feedback.
• Utilize industry trends to inform requirements for new features and enhancements aligned with strategic priorities.
• Contribute to the design process to ensure it supports business requirements and offers an optimized user experience.
• Capture requirements for complex systems, understanding and applying the SDLC to deliverables.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications considering multiple users and impact scenarios.
• Support business objectives and align with the roadmap through collaboration with technical and business teams.
• Work with QAS to develop testing strategies and support user acceptance testing to ensure quality.
• Advise on security, risk management, and IT processes, escalating issues as necessary and partnering with security and risk teams.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certifications:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Computer Science, IT, or related fields. Experience in the financial services sector is a plus.

Experience:

• 5+ years in project development/management methodologies and tools.
• 2+ years working with Low-Code platforms like OutSystems, Appian, or Power Apps.
• Familiarity with web technologies (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript) and backend integrations (SQL, DB2, Apigee).
• Knowledge of web design principles, including usability and accessibility.
• Experience in data/application/integration management and governance.
• Proficiency in creating technical documentation, standards, and best practices.
• Leadership skills in coaching and developing team members.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and conflict management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and levels of planning.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present effectively.
• Proactive understanding of business impacts, industry trends, and best practices.
