JM Test Systems, LLC. is seeking a detail-oriented To-Factory Specialist in Baton Rouge to own outsourced calibration and repair coordination from quotes to return. You’ll manage purchase orders, shipping, and documentation, ensuring accuracy and timely updates to customers and vendors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong organization and attention to detail with multi-tasking ability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and a customer-service mindset.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems effectively.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and travel occasionally for training or support.
• Preferred experience with Sage or another ERP system.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate outsourced service: review work orders, request quotes, RMAs, and approvals.
• Manage purchasing and shipping: create POs in Sage, coordinate shipments, track returns.
• Verify quality on return: check calibration certificates and documentation.
• Act as liaison between customers, vendors, and internal teams with timely updates.
• Maintain accurate records in CalMapp and related systems.
• Monitor vendor performance and drive process improvements.

Job Summary — The Opportunity

Some customer equipment needs calibration or repair from the original manufacturer or a specialized vendor, and customers still count on us to get it done right and on time. As our To-Factory Specialist, you'll own that process from start to finish.

In this role, you will manage outsourced calibration and repair services, from getting customer approval and vendor quotes to creating purchase orders, tracking shipments, and verifying equipment and paperwork when it comes back. You'll be the central point of coordination between customers, vendors, and our internal teams, keeping everyone informed and every job moving.

You'll thrive here if you're highly organized, follow through on every detail, and can juggle multiple priorities with urgency and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities & Outcomes

• Coordinate outsourced service. Review work orders to determine outsourcing needs, request quotes, pricing, and RMAs from vendors, provide estimates to customers, and secure approvals.
• Manage purchasing and shipping. Create and manage purchase orders in Sage, coordinate shipments to vendors, and follow up on expected return dates.
• Verify quality on return. Check incoming equipment and documentation for accuracy, confirm calibration certificates meet quality standards, process receipts, and route equipment back to the lab.
• Keep everyone informed. Serve as the key liaison between customers, vendors, and internal teams, providing timely updates on status, delays, and approvals.
• Maintain accurate records. Track all updates in CalMapp and keep clear, organized records of outsourced work and communications.
• Manage vendors and measure results. Track vendor performance and turnaround-time KPIs, research new vendors when needed, and help improve processes and workflows.

What You Bring
