The role combines technical know-how with customer-facing sales to optimize machining processes and drive productivity for manufacturers in the Salt Lake City area. Ideal candidates bring hands-on CNC experience, tooling knowledge, and the ability to communicate effectively with programmers, engineers, and shop managers.

Qualifications

• Hands-on CNC machining in a production or job shop environment.
• Strong knowledge of carbide cutting tools, indexable tooling, workholding, and machining processes.
• Experience selecting tooling, feeds and speeds, and optimizing machining operations.
• Ability to discuss machining applications with programmers, engineers, shop owners, and production managers.
• Self-motivated with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Sales experience is a plus but not required.

Outside Technical Sales Representative – CNC Tooling & Accessories

Are you the person everyone in the shop comes to when it's time to improve cycle times, solve tooling problems, or optimize a machining process?

We're looking for an experienced machining professional to join our outside sales team. This is an opportunity for someone with a strong technical background in CNC machining who enjoys working directly with customers to improve productivity and manufacturing performance.

Whether you're already in technical sales or you're a machinist, programmer, applications engineer, or manufacturing engineer looking to leverage your expertise in a customer-facing role, we'd like to talk with you.

What You'll Do

• Ability to confidently discuss machining applications with programmers, engineers, shop owners, and production managers.
• Self-motivated with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Sales experience is a plus but not required—we value technical credibility first.

What We Offer

• Competitive base salary, $80k - $85k plus commission – eventually moving to full commission – on-target earnings of $110k - $150k
