Job summary

Valmont is hiring an Outside Shipper in Valley, Nebraska. The role focuses on accurately picking, counting, packing and loading parts for customer shipments, using equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes. You will support daily shipping operations and maintain safety/housekeeping standards.

Shifts include 1st (Mon-Fri 6:00 am-2:30 pm) and 3rd (Sun-Thu 9:30 pm-6:00 am). Compensation is $23.20 per hour. Strong familiarity with banding tools and load handling is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, read, write and count.
• Ability to work with wood and small hand tools (tape measures, saws, drills).
• Ability to stand, bend, push, pull, climb, lift and move about the warehouse.
• Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds safely during shifts.
• Ability to use e-mail and to work overtime when required.
• Ability to operate overhead cranes, forklifts, straddle trucks, shag trucks, or weighing scales.
• Good attendance and safety records; follow safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Accurately picks, counts, packs and loads parts for shipment.
• Operates equipment safely: forklift, overhead cranes, hand and banding tools, and saws.
• Responds to supervisor direction and participates in team functions.
• Maintain housekeeping and safety standards.
• Read order pick lists and identify parts by sight.
• Work varying shifts as required.
