Be able to meet requirements of position with a minimal amount of supervision.
Physical effort is moderate to heavy. A high degree of physical effort is used due to continuous heavy lifting. Employee is lifting 35 to 50 lbs. approximately 80-90% of the time. Each pit area has a warming room for winter. 80% of the angle cell is in an insulated/heated structure, with 20% of those jobs being performed outside. Overall, 30% of all work is conducted outside the building area where the employee is exposed to all levels of inclement weather. The exception is the pipe bundling cell whereby 100% of all work is performed outside. Most loading operations are exposed to some type of disagreeable working conditions (wind, cold, heat, dust, dirt, fumes, noise, vibration, water, or oil). Working conditions may vary with specific work assignments.
