Job summary

Associated Scaffolding Company Inc. seeks a sales professional to grow our Charlotte territory by developing new business and maintaining strong client relationships, while managing scaffold projects from start to finish.

Requirements include outside sales or customer service experience, ability to read plans, proficiency with Word/Excel/Outlook, a valid NC driver’s license, and US work authorization. We offer comprehensive benefits and a rewarding career path.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or prior sales experience.
• Prior outside sales experience and/or customer service experience.
• Strong project management, new business development, and customer retention skills a must.
• Ability to read architectural plans.
• Proficiency in use of computer programs including Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• A valid in-state driver's license with a good driving record.
• Authorization to work in the US with the ability to obtain clearance onto Federal job sites.
• Preferential consideration will be given to candidates with: Construction-related experience; Previous experience in scaffold erection or sales; Completion of the OSHA 30 course for construction.

Physical Requirements

• Must be capable of climbing scaffolding, ladders, etc. to take measurements of typical job site conditions.
• Occasional lifting and carrying of equipment up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods of time in all types of field conditions.
• The position requires staying calm under pressure when communicating with clients and co-workers. Avoid intimidating tone or abusive or inappropriate language.
