The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for establishing contact with existing customers, identifying new opportunities, and following up on potential leads. The Outside Sales Representative will also monitor industry trends in order to identify emerging markets and develop plans to utilize those markets to expand revenue. The Outside Sales Representative will cover North & South Carolina.

Requirements

  • Utilize all available resources to reach out to prospects and attempt to turn those prospects into customers
  • Negotiate prices or terms of sales or service agreements and prepare and submit sales contracts for orders
  • Stay on top of industry trends to identify potential opportunities for company growth.
  • Visit establishments to evaluate needs or to promote product or service sales.
  • Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, or credit terms.
  • Quote prices, credit terms, or other bid specifications.
  • Select or assist customers in selecting products based on customer needs, product specifications, and applicable regulations.
  • Prepare sales presentations or proposals to explain product specifications or applications.
  • Identify prospective customers using business directories, leads from existing clients, participation in organizations, or trade show, or conference attendance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to exchange information, such as selling strategies or marketing information.
  • Advise customers on product usage to improve production.
  • Attend sales or trade meetings or read related publications to obtain information about market conditions, business trends, environmental regulations, or industry developments.
  • Attend industry trade shows to accumulate new leads and make productive contact with existing clients
  • Initiate sales campaigns to meet sales and production expectations.
  • Complete expense reports, sales reports, or other paperwork.
  • Solicit sales of new or additional services or products.

Requirements

The successful candidate must have the following experience and capabilities:

  • A desire to drive aggressive growth and hit sales targets, with a demonstrated track record of doing so
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2-4 years proven experience as an Outside Sales Representative, or in other sales/customer service role.
  • Ability to travel as needed, typically required 50% to 75% week (mostly in REGION, within few hours’ drive)
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working with little to no direction
