We offer an excellent benefit package, competitive salary, and a great atmosphere.About the role: As an Outside Sales Product Specialist, you will serve as the subject-matter expert for commercial HVAC products, partnering closely with the Outside Sales team to deliver technical expertise and customized solutions for customers. This role is responsible for conducting on-site consultations, advising customers on equipment selection and system applications, troubleshooting complex product inquiries, and providing technical guidance throughout the sales process. In addition, you will support a variety of pre-sale and post-sale activities, including estimating, quoting, equipment submittals, and installation support to ensure successful project execution and exceptional customer satisfaction. This opportunity is well-suited for someone who wants to leverage their field expertise in a more support-focused environment while spending less time in the field.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the HVAC Product Expert: Act as the primary technical resource for customers and the sales team by conducting on-site consultations, assessing customer needs, recommending HVAC solutions, and resolving complex product and application questions.Commercial HVAC System Design: Collaborate with the sales team on the design and layout of commercial HVAC systems, including equipment selection, system applications, and refrigerant piping layouts.Estimation and Quoting: Prepare accurate equipment selections, estimates, and quotations based on mechanical plans and specifications. Provide replacement equipment and parts quotations as needed.Technical Product Support: Provide technical guidance before, during, and after equipment installation, assisting customers and contractors with product applications, troubleshooting, and installation-related questions.Customer Consultation: Partner directly with customers, contractors, engineers, and internal stakeholders to identify project requirements, recommend solutions, and ensure products meet performance and application needs.Account Management: Manage customer accounts not specifically assigned to an Outside Sales Engineer, delivering responsive service, technical support, and ongoing relationship management.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field preferred.Previous experience with commercial HVAC equipment, systems, and applications.Demonstrated ability to serve as a technical subject-matter expert, providing product recommendations, conducting customer consultations, and resolving complex technical inquiries.Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software.Strong understanding of commercial construction practices, HVAC system design, and Design/Build project delivery.Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to customers, contractors, and internal teams.Willingness to travel to customer sites for consultations and project support.Compensation : Up to $140,000 DOEAmbient Enterprises provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
