Job summary

Summit Business Group is seeking a Direct Sales Representative to build lasting relationships with business owners, understand needs, and present tailored insurance solutions. You’ll work in your own territory with a focus on field sales, utilizing Salesforce CRM and delivering exceptional client service.

You will be responsible for prospecting, follow-ups, and presenting to employee groups, while training and supporting clients through the claims process.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in sales or customer-facing roles, with a preference for outside sales.
• Ability to conduct full training cycles, including in-person and online sessions.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
• A deep desire to assist and empower clients, showing genuine concern for well-being.
• Health & Life general lines license, or willingness to obtain it within 90 days with support.

Responsibilities

• Respond to general emails and phone calls from clients.
• Set follow-up appointments with prospective and current clients to review needs.
• Be present on scheduled calls or meetings with sales team or manager.
• Call on new businesses, referrals, and existing clients who need to be reserviced: Selling Business to Business.
• Build and maintain your own book of business.
• Meet with sales team manager to set monthly/quarterly targets and quotas.
• Develop relationships with local business owners in your territory.
• Submit your sales metrics and activity daily.
