Job summary

Aspen Contracting in Des Moines, IA is seeking an Outside Sales Consultant to drive roofing and exterior restoration projects in the Des Moines market. This is a full-time, W-2 role with paid training and uncapped commissions.

You will meet homeowners, inspect properties, present solutions, manage pipelines, and close opportunities with a proven track record in outside sales. Travel is local to the Des Moines area; training and meetings are based at the Clive, IA office.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Previous sales experience required.
• Outside sales or D2D sales experience strongly preferred.
• Roofing or home improvement experience is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to travel locally.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiating, and relationship‑building skills.
• Independent work style with team connectivity.
• Smartphone/tablet and company tech proficiency.
• Must reliably commute to the Clive, IA reporting office for training and meetings.

Responsibilities

• Meet with homeowners to identify roofing and exterior restoration needs.
• Build strong customer relationships and establish trust throughout the sales process.
• Conduct property inspections and identify potential project opportunities.
• Present solutions clearly and confidently based on customer needs.
• Manage the sales process from initial appointment through project completion.
• Prospect, follow up, and maintain an active sales pipeline.
• Handle customer questions and objections professionally.
• Ask for the sale and move opportunities forward.
• Maintain communication with customers throughout their projects.
• Document customer and project information using company tools.
• Coordinate with internal teams to support a positive customer experience.
• Represent Aspen Contracting professionally in the community.
