Job summary

Sysco is seeking an outside sales professional in Washington state to promote products and services and build relationships with new and existing accounts. You may work non-traditional hours to meet customer needs and drive sales in your territory.

The role emphasizes developing new business, qualifying prospects, and delivering a tailored mix of Sysco offerings while keeping customers informed about market trends and product innovations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts or related discipline, or 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in restaurant management, B2B or outside sales is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business and penetrate existing accounts to achieve profitable sales growth.
• Seek and qualify prospects following company account stratification goals.
• Research customer needs and offer a tailored mix of products and services.
• Evaluate market trends and recommend products to meet business goals.
• Be informed of market conditions, product innovations and competitors' offerings.
• Answer questions about products, prices, availability and use.
• Provide product information and training to customer personnel.
• Drive personal vehicle to customer accounts and events.
• Collect accounts receivable as needed and coordinate with credit.
• Manage deliveries according to routing schedules and resolve issues.
• Participate in sales events, meetings and trainings.
• Assist with training of new employees and review daily/weekly reports.
• Perform administrative duties such as budgets, quotes and records.
