Job summary

Sysco in Washington state is seeking an experienced Sales Professional, Restaurant Manager, Culinary Manager or Chef to join its World Class Sales Team. This outside sales role focuses on promoting Sysco products, building relationships with new and existing accounts, and helping customers succeed while achieving sales and profit goals.

Some non-traditional hours may be required to meet client needs. Key requirements include a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, willingness to relocate

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts or related discipline OR HSD/GED with 3 years restaurant management or B2B/outside sales experience.
• Experience in Restaurant Management or foodservice outside sales preferred.
• Bi-Lingual abilities preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with insurability standards and automotive insurance.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business, penetrate existing accounts, and minimize lost business to achieve profitable sales growth within the assigned territory.
• Seek and qualify prospects following account stratification goals.
• Research customer business needs and develop a mix of products and services to meet needs.
• Evaluate market trends and recommend products to customers based on business needs and goals.
• Be informed of market conditions, product innovations, and competitors’ products, prices, and sales; share information with customers as part of value-added services.
• Answer questions about products, prices, availability, and usage.
• Provide product information and practical training to customer personnel.
• Drive personal vehicle to customer accounts, conventions, company meetings, etc.
• Manage deliveries to the routing schedule and troubleshoot order issues.
