Job summary

Auto Value - Grand Forks invites an Outside Sales Representative to join our team, serving customers in our local and surrounding communities. You will build durable relationships, promote programs, and drive growth in an independent, customer-facing role.

In this field-based position, you’ll manage a territory, collaborate with store leadership, and provide expert parts advice while maintaining accurate records and a strong presence in the community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 3+ years of experience in automotive sales or a related role preferred.
• Solid knowledge of the auto parts industry and sales techniques.
• Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
• Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage your own schedule.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with wholesale and retail customers across your assigned territory.
• Promote company marketing and sales programs while identifying new business opportunities.
• Serve as the go-to resource for automotive parts, advice, and service.
• Collaborate with store leadership to develop a strategic call schedule and sales approach.
• Keep accurate records and reports to track activity and progress toward goals.
• Take part in training programs to stay sharp on products, systems, and customer needs.
• Be a positive representative of Auto Value in the community and with every customer interaction.
