Job summary

Geis Dealer Group is seeking an experienced Outside Sales Manager to lead and grow our outside sales team across Kansas and Missouri. This leadership role drives sales, gross profit, and customer retention while coaching and directing the team to achieve measurable market growth.

The ideal candidate will bring proven sales leadership, strong communication, and deep knowledge of trucking, transportation, heavy equipment, parts, and services to build strategic customer relationships and close

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years in trucking/transport or related industry leadership.
• Proven ability to meet sales and profitability goals.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the outside sales team to meet sales, gross profit, retention and growth goals.
• Set sales objectives, KPIs, activity standards and performance expectations.
• Recruit, onboard, train and develop Outside Salespeople.
• Conduct regular sales meetings, one-on-ones and coaching sessions.
• Build and maintain relationships with key customers, fleets and accounts.
• Support salespeople with quotes, negotiations and complex opportunities.
• Develop strategies to grow accounts, reactivate inactive customers and win new business.
• Monitor territories, pipelines, activity, market trends and competitors.
• Ensure CRM usage, forecasting and timely reporting.
• Maintain knowledge of parts, service offerings, trucks, pricing and inventory.
• Collaborate with Parts, Service, Truck Sales, Finance and leadership to provide solutions.
• Monitor sales mix and performance metrics; communicate feedback to leadership.
