Job summary

Durex Industries, part of the Spirax Group, seeks an Outside Sales Engineer to drive the Semiconductor market growth in California and Oregon. You will design and quote engineered-to-order electric thermal solutions, support customers, and convert opportunities into orders.

Located near Fremont or Livermore, CA, or Tualatin, OR, with travel up to 50%. Collaboration with engineering, applications, and field teams is essential to success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or appropriate technical discipline.
• 5-7 years of experience in designing, specifying, quoting, selling, and consulting within the Semiconductor Market.
• Ability to read and understand specifications, documentation requirements, and drawings.
• Ability to assemble bill of materials from takeoff and communicate scope to application engineering for semiconductor products.
• Present Durex Electric Thermal Solutions concepts and products and explain proper use, size and installation procedures to customers.
• Candidate must reside in or around Oregon and California, with travel ~50%.

Responsibilities

• Identify emerging trends and innovative technologies within the Semiconductor market.
• Support and develop electric thermal solutions for the Semiconductor market.
• Drive specifications and secure large orders up to and exceeding $1M.
• Coordinate with multiple teams and manage projects within the CRM system.

Job Summary

The Market Sector Sales Engineer (MSSE) will drive sales growth with a focus on the Semiconductor market. This position will focus on understanding all aspects of theSemiconductor market including that it is for engineered to order (ETO) custom components.

Candidates must be located within a commutable distance to Fremont, CA, Livermore CA. or Tualatin OR., locations to start (Territories in California and Oregon).

• Experienced in managing projects and coordinating and communicating with multiple teams involved in the project.
• Thrives in a competitive environment and is motivated and energized by the challenge of securing large orders up to and exceeding $1M.
• Ability to track and manage opportunities through our CRM package.
• Ability to create and enact sales strategies within and given market and cascade throughout their designated territory.

• Possess a detailed knowledge of competitive products, including price structure, professional services capability, and market focus.
• Welcomes and enjoys travel (approximately 50%) within their region.

Our Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or appropriate technical discipline.
• 5-7 years of experience in designing, specifying, quoting, selling, and consultingwithin the Semiconductor Market Site and market certifications a plus.
• Ability to read and understand specifications, documentation requirements, and drawings.
• Ability to assemble bill of materials from takeoff and communicate to application engineering the scope of the supply on semiconductor products.
• Ability to present consulting engineers our Durex Electric Thermal Solutions concepts and products. The ability to explain the proper use, size & installation procedures for these products to customers, consultants, and contractors.
• Implementing sales goals.
• Plan & execute training programs.
• Provide guidance on inventory & stocking requirements for DRX products.
• Candidate must reside in or around Oregon and California.

Pay Range:Base pay ($83,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year), variable bonus and monthly car allowance.
