Job summary

Leppo Rents is seeking an outside sales hunter for the Ocala area who spends most of the week on the road. You’ll cold-call, meet customers face-to-face, and build relationships with contractors, landscapers, and equipment buyers who trust you to deliver the right Bobcat equipment for the job.

You’ll own your pipeline, represent Leppo at trade shows, and stay sharp on market trends to drive growth in a fast-paced field role. A high school diploma is required and a proven hunter mindset is valued.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of sales experience preferred in equipment/agriculture/construction or similar
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Comfort with Microsoft Office and a fast-paced, self-directed environment

Responsibilities

• Spend the majority of your time outside the store — cold calling, prospecting, and meeting customers face-to-face across your territory
• Hunt new business while growing and protecting existing accounts
• Sell and market top-brand equipment including Bobcat, matching customers with the right machine
• Own your pipeline — track leads, meetings, and sales activity in CRM like it's your own business
• Represent Leppo at trade shows, training, and industry events
• Stay sharp on market trends and bring ideas back to the team

Leppo Rents is looking for an outside sales hunter for our Ocala area— someone who doesn't wait for the phone to ring, doesn't coast on last quarter's numbers, and treats every empty spot on the account list as a personal insult. This isn't a desk job with occasional field visits. You'll spend the bulk of your week on the road and in the field — cold calling, showing up in person, building relationships with contractors, landscapers, and equipment buyers who need someone they can actually trust.

What you'll be doing:

• Spending the majority of your time outside the store — cold calling, prospecting, and meeting customers face-to-face across your territory

• Owning your pipeline — tracking leads, meetings, and sales activity in CRM like it's your own business (because commission-wise, it kind of is)
• Representing Leppo at trade shows, training, and industry events
• Staying sharp on market trends and bringing ideas back to the team instead of waiting to be told what's working

What it takes:

• 3+ years of sales experience preferred — equipment, ag, construction, industrial, or any background where you've had to go get the business, not just receive it
• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Comfort with Microsoft Office and a fast-paced, self-directed environment
• Integrity and follow-through — the Leppo Way means keeping your word

You don't need equipment experience to thrive here.

Some of our best reps came from backgrounds like:

• Agriculture & farming – you already think in terms of equipment ROI and seasonal cash flow
• Construction & heavy civil work – you know what a machine needs to do on a real jobsite
• Landscaping & hardscaping – you've probably been our customer before you were a rep
• Ag or heavy equipment dealers (Case IH, New Holland, Kubota, John Deere, forklift/material handling) – you already know the sales motion
• Military logistics, motor transport, or heavy equipment – you bring mechanical credibility and discipline
• Any outside B2B sales role where you had to go get the business, not just take the order
