Job Overview

As a Field Account Representative (FAR), you will be responsible for selling MRO (maintenance, repair, and operations) supplies to an established portfolio of customers (hotels) to maintain and drive sales. This remote position offers a competitive base salary plus sales incentive bonus; a laptop/tablet, cell phone, and monthly expenses are included. The territory will cover Knoxville/Sevierville, TN.

Qualifications
  • Reside in Knoxville, TN or surrounding areas with reliable transportation
  • Proactive sales professional with organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize selling activities and administrative tasks
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal team members
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to manage existing customer base
  • Experience with consultative/solution selling preferred
  • Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals
  • Pass a background check and drug test
Job Summary

Drive profitable sales growth by prospecting new accounts, retaining existing accounts, and expanding opportunities with current customers in core and emerging industries and markets to meet yearly sales goals. This position requires operation of a Company Vehicle or Personal Vehicle, with operation more than 20% of the workweek. An acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) is required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers and influencers
  • Manage sales volume with existing customers and acquire new customers
  • Develop and implement plans to expand business in the area
  • Share market insights and competitor information
  • Collaborate with leadership on market trends and customer needs
  • Attend trade shows, business meetings, and represent the organization regionally or nationally
Work Environment & Scope

Work primarily indoors, with infrequent unpleasant conditions. Most time spent sitting, with occasional movement. Less than 10% overnight travel. Work involves increasing independence, with periodic supervision. May provide guidance or training to support or professional personnel.

Education & Experience

Typically requires a BS/BA in a related discipline with 2-5 years of experience, or an MS/MA with 2-4 years of experience. Certification may be required in some areas.
