Job summary

Vander Haag’s Inc. is seeking an Outside Sales Representative for the Dallas, TX area. This full-time role focuses on developing relationships with repair shops and fleets, expanding market share, and delivering tailored parts solutions.

You will travel to customer sites, quote opportunities, collaborate with inside sales and parts teams, and stay up to date on product and pricing trends. A valid driver’s license and pre-employment MVR checks are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in trucking or construction equipment industry preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment MVR check.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with a designated group of repair shops and fleets.
• Maintain sales growth with designated customers through regular communication, follow-up, and proactive sales efforts.
• Actively prospect and generate new business within assigned territory.
• Conduct regular in-person customer visits and follow-ups.
• Promote Vander Haag’s full product offering (new, used, rebuilt parts).
• Identify customer needs and recommend cost-effective solutions.
• Prepare and follow up on quotes to close sales opportunities.
• Collaborate with inside sales and parts teams to ensure excellent customer service.
• Track sales activities, opportunities, and customer interactions within the CRM system.
• Stay informed on product knowledge, pricing, and industry trends.

What We're Looking For:

• Prior experience in the trucking or construction equipment industry (preferred).

• Successfully passing a pre-employment MVR records check for insurance purposes.

Schedule & Compensation:

• Full-time, day shift position: Monday through Friday
• Paid on a base + commission structure. Typical compensation is usually $60,000 - $80,000/year
