Job summary

Drexel Building Supply, Wrightstown, WI, is hiring an Outside Production Specialist for the 1st shift (6a-2p). The role focuses on fabricating roof and floor trusses in a highly automated facility, with outdoor yard work and minimal inside tasks.

Responsibilities include material staging, operating forklifts, reading drawings, cutting materials, and maintaining storage areas while delivering reliable, customer-focused service. Training and mentorship are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience with hand and power tools.
• Experience reading building plans.
• Reading and understanding of tape measure.
• Outdoor work in yard; active, outdoorsy environment.
• Customer-focused team player with good collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Stack wall panels, floor trusses, roof trusses, and other components.
• Shape or cut materials to specified measurements using hand tools, machines and/or power saws.
• Stage pre-picked material in defined locations using forklift.
• Unload lumber and sheathing from inbound trucks and place in stock locations.
• Maintain material storage areas to protect inventory.
• Read and interpret drawings and build to specifications provided.
• Operate forklift to load material for production saws and lines.
• All other duties as assigned.

We are looking for bold, ambitious ROCKSTARS to join our team to fabricate roof and floor trusses for homes and businesses throughout Wisconsin. This isn’t a Truss Shop from the 1970s; this is highly automated, innovative technology that builds for efficiency and accuracy. In the process, we can turn the manufacturing industry upside down, build incredible products, and Supply Happiness.

Here are the details:

• Stacking/loading of Wall Panels, Floor Trusses, Roof Trusses, and other building components
• Shape or cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines and/or power saws
• Stage pre-picked material in the defined locations in or around the production facility yard using forklift equipment
• Unload stock lumber and sheathing products from inbound delivery trucks and place them in the designated stock locations
• Maintain material storage areas to ensure that inventory is protected
• Read and interpret drawings and build to specifications provided
• Stacking and loading our semi loads
• Must have a love for the outdoors! Yes, 70 degree fall days and -15 degree blizzards! This is an active role outside in the yard with minimal inside work.
• Operate forklift to handle and load material for the production saws and production lines
• All other duties as assigned
• Experience with hand and power tools
• Experience with reading building plans
• Reading and understanding of tape measure
