Job summary

Drexel Building Supply, Inc. in Wisconsin is seeking a full-time yard and production team member to stack, load, and prepare building components for delivery and project sites.

You'll operate forklifts, cut and shape materials, read drawings, and ensure inventory is organized while enjoying outdoor weather and a fast-paced environment. Training and mentorship are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience with hand and power tools.
• Experience with reading building plans.
• Reading and understanding of tape measure.

Responsibilities

• Stacking/loading of Wall Panels, Floor Trusses, Roof Trusses, and other building components
• Shape or cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines and/or power saws
• Stage pre-picked material in the defined locations in or around the production facility yard using forklift equipment
• Unload stock lumber and sheathing products from inbound delivery trucks and place them in the designated stock locations
• Maintain material storage areas to ensure that inventory is protected
• Read and interpret drawings and build to specifications provided
• Stacking and loading our semi loads
• Must have a love for the outdoors! Yes, 70 degree fall days and -15 degree blizzards! This is an active role outside in the yard with minimal inside work.
• Operate forklift to handle and load material for the production saws and production lines
• All other duties as assigned
