Job summary

AES Corporation is seeking an Outside Operator to support plant operations at Harding Street Station with a rotating shift schedule. You will operate boiler-turbine units and gas turbines, following procedures to optimize reliability and safety while maintaining accurate logs and reports.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, and the ability to read P&IDs and electrical diagrams. Safety and teamwork are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• High school graduate with mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Able to read and interpret basic P&IDs and one-line diagrams.
• Willing to pass required tests and demonstrate safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Operate boiler-turbine units and gas turbines on rotating shifts under supervision.
• Start, monitor, and adjust equipment to maintain reliability and safety.
• Inspect, log readings, and perform light maintenance as directed.
• Communicate issues and request repairs via SAP or supervisor.
