Job summary

AES Indiana is seeking a Co-op Engineer to support operations, maintenance, and asset performance initiatives at Harding Street Station and other AES Indiana facilities in Indiana. This role provides hands-on exposure to power generation operations, troubleshooting, and project execution.

You will work with Operations, Maintenance, and Project teams, gaining practical experience in utility-scale power generation while contributing to safety, reliability, and plant performance improvements.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing or have a 4-year Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related STEM field.
• Must possess a valid state-issued Driver's License.
• Must be authorized to work in the State of Indiana.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day troubleshooting of operational and maintenance issues at Harding Street Station, including field investigations, documentation, and technical analysis of ongoing equipment and system challenges.
• Assist Operations, Wastewater, and Gas Turbine teams in coordinating with Project and Outage Planning to ensure the safe and effective planning and execution of work.
• Support outage execution activities and facilitate coordination between Operations, Maintenance, and Outage teams to promote safe and efficient project execution. Responsibilities may include occasional off-shift and weekend support.
• Support plant asset performance assessments and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) efforts.
• Support Management of Change (MOC) and plant compliance processes.
• Assist with work management activities, including creation of notifications and purchase requisitions within SAP.
