Job summary

I-State Truck Center in Madison, Wisconsin is seeking an Outside Parts Sales Representative to drive heavy-duty truck parts sales, develop new customer relationships, and deliver exceptional service to customers throughout the territory.

The position requires 3+ years in outside sales in the heavy-duty parts industry, strong relationship-building and communication skills, and the ability to travel as needed. A company vehicle, laptop and cell phone are provided to support success.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of outside sales experience.
• Experience selling commercial truck, heavy equipment, automotive, industrial, or aftermarket parts preferred.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to travel throughout the territory, including occasional overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Grow heavy-duty truck parts sales within an established territory.
• Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
• Conduct regular face-to-face customer visits and follow-up communications.

What You'll Do

As an Outside Parts Sales Representative, you will be responsible for growing parts sales and expanding market share within your assigned territory by developing strong customer relationships and identifying new business opportunities.

What We're Looking For

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of outside sales experience
• Experience selling commercial truck, heavy equipment, automotive, industrial, or aftermarket parts preferred
• Strong relationship-building and customer service skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to travel throughout the territory, including occasional overnight travel

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Additional sales, business, or technical training is a plus
