Job summary

Sysco Virginia, LLC is seeking an experienced Sales Consultant for the US-WV-Martinsburg area. This outside sales role focuses on promoting Sysco's products and services to new and existing accounts, building relationships, and achieving sales goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 3 years relevant sales/restaurant management experience.
• Bi-lingual preferred.
• Valid driver's license and automobile insurance meeting requirements.
• Pass employment testing and sign covenants.
• Reside or relocate near the territory.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business, penetrate existing accounts, and minimize lost business to achieve profitable sales growth.
• Seek and qualify prospects following account stratification goals.
• Research customer needs and offer a mix of products and services.
• Evaluate market trends and recommend products to customers.
• Stay informed of market conditions, products, prices, and competitors.
• Answer questions about products, prices, availability, and use.
• Provide product information and practical training to customer personnel.
• Drive personal vehicle to customer accounts and events.
• Communicate and collect receivables with credit terms.
• Manage deliveries per routing schedule and troubleshoot issues.
• Participate in company functions, visits, and events.
• Attend sales/district meetings and ongoing training.
• Assist in training new employees as requested.
• Review daily/weekly reports and prepare quotes and menu suggestions.
• Perform administrative duties and filing; handle credits and pickups.
