Job summary

ROUND VALLEY INDIAN TRIBES is seeking an Outreach Services/Meal Delivery Coordinator for the Senior Center. The role focuses on delivering meals to home-bound elders and supporting outreach and supportive services.

Responsibilities include client assessments, data reporting, meal packaging, and kitchen duties. A valid CA driver’s license and the ability to pass a background check are required.

Outreach Services/Meal Delivery Coordinator

DEPARTMENT: Senior Center PAY RATE: $18.00 Starting Pay HOURS: 20 hours per week, PT Monday - Friday ; 4 hours/day REPORT TO: Senior Center Director

• Assist Director in developing and implementation of Outreach and Supportive Services to elders
• Deliver meals to home-bound elderly
• Perform client assessments and surveys
• Maintain relevant data for reporting
• Assess and determine individual client’s eligibility needs
• Assist in identifying and developing relevant programs and other services to meet client needs
• Assist cook and kitchen staff in packaging home-delivered meals and related kitchen duties such as making coffee, wrapping silverware, etc.
• Assist in ordering, securing, maintaining and inventory necessary food and supplies
• Assist in preparation schedule and preparation of food
• Attend pertinent meetings and training
• Sweep and mop dinner area
• Sanitize, wipe down the dinner table, take out garbage and wash it daily
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms daily, mop floors and stock with paper towels bathroom tissues
• Wash vehicle and vacuum every Friday
• Complete meal deliveries in a timely manner

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Knowledge and ability to work with and relate to specific needs of the elderly
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Valid CA Driver’s License
• Must be able to pass drug test, Physical Exam and Background Check
• Must have great teamwork skills
